Men quilters – Guys who quilt – Male quilters – Man that quilts – Quilt guy – Manly quilting people

I started a group for men who quilt a while back and have been waiting patiently to see it grow. I am very pleased to announce that we now have 76 extremely talented members. Many of the members have uploaded photos of their work to the group. I am stunned at how many of them can quilt! To be honest it’s a little intimidating to say the least! Luckily Inspiration far out weighs the feelings of intimidation I feel as I browse through the Men’s quilt gallery on the websites homepage.

  1. I’m certainly pleased and honored to be a part of this group . . .

I’ve been compiling a list of male quilters on my blog . . . in a way, I collected you and you collected me, LOL!!

  2. Good to see a website for male quilters. I sometimes feel a ‘bit out of place’ in some of the classes I attend but on the whole everyone is very friendly and happy to have me around.
It would be something similar here in Southern England.

    Best wishes

  3. What a great idea… no matter how friendly they (can be) are, it’s always a bit intimidating to walk into a quilt shop and show and be the only guy there.

  4. I know the feeling. People wonder if you are there for your wife. Generally people are very nice, and helpful. I have seen a lot of males working at my local Joanns store, which is also helpful. I am currently attmepting a Baltimore Album quilt.

  5. Hey there, I eagerly been wanting to join the site on ManQuilters but my membership has been “pending” for several weeks. I look forward to network with other men quilters and hopefully post some of my work too.

    1. Sorry for the delay John! Ning allows a maximum of 150 members for the $$ I pay. I have just deleted some inactive members and added you. 🙂 Can’t wait to see pics of your latest work. Happy NewYear!

      1. Hey from London, UK, I’ve been wanting to join the site on ManQuilters but my membership has been “pending” as well… I already told my dude quilt mates about this great forum… I’m looking forward to network with other men quilters.
        Thanks
        Alex

  8. we just had our 4th annual national quilt show in Puebla, Mexico. The grand prize winner was a young man living in Mexico City, but from Brazil. We were all happy to welcome him. Keep enjoying one of the best pastimes a person could have.
